지난 2019년 10대 이상의 알바 구직자 중 남성의 비율은 58.3%에 그쳤으나, 지난해에는 68.8%로 늘었고, 이번년도 상반기에는 70.2%에 달했다. 10대 이상의 알바 구직자 중 여성의 비율도 지난2012년에는 70.2%였으나 전년(75.0%)에 이어 올해 상반기에는 76.7%로 가장 높았다.
야간 알바의 종류를 살펴보면 편의점(21.4%), 호프집 등 서빙(16.2%), 물류센터(12.7%), 생산직 알바(8.5%), PC방(7.6%)이 상위 6위 안에 들었다. 이어 택배 상·하차(7.2%), 일반 가게케어 및 판매(5.3%), 커피 전공점(3.9%), 마트·유통점(2.3%), 사무직(1.7%) 등 순이었다.
같은 학교 문화콘텐츠문화경영학과 3학년 학생은 “용금액들을 벌고 싶어 시간제 알바를 구하려고 해도 하기 힘든 상황”이라며 “최근에는 편의점과 식당에 장시간 일하다가 가게 사정으로 인하여 어쩔 수 없이 일을 그만두게 된 친구들도 늘어났다”고 말했다.
