I've been thinking about upgrading my home studio, so I started looking at places to buy music gear. It's overwhelming how many options there are for microphones, audio interfaces, and even just cables. I spent an hour yesterday comparing two different condenser mics, reading reviews about their frequency response and build quality. It feels good to invest in equipment that can actually improve the sound of my recordings, even if it takes a while to decide.
